![]() If I set Roon to 27, the music quality deteriorates to the standard I hear on Kazoo. Generally, it is in the range of 40 to 50, with the AVR also set to 40 or 50. Kazoo has a volume 'control', but it doesn't work, it is locked on 27. So I looked for a difference and realised it was in the volume control. Obviously this couldn't actually be so, as both are merely control points, directing the same network stream to the AVR renderer. So far, it's working, and offering more functionality in terms of sorting out music and playlists than Linn Kazoo does, albeit possibly not 120 dollar a year's worth extra.īut, I believed that Roon's output sounded better than Kazoo's, a clearer, more open sound. Now, Roon 1.2 is out, and they offered me another free trial. I tried Roon a few months ago, then it stopped working and Roon couldn't help me fix it.
